England Golf

Tournament coverage, same-day edits, player stories and club profiles: a varied collection of films for England Golf.

England Golf interview being filmed outside a clubhouse

The event, the players and the places.

Work for England Golf ranged from major tournaments and player stories to club profiles and training content. The production needed to serve different audiences and different moments: reporting from an event, introducing a club, or giving a person’s story room to come through.

Coverage that keeps pace with the day.

A tournament moves quickly. Play, interviews and stories develop throughout the day, and event content is most useful when it can reach people while that experience is still unfolding.

The work included a same-day filming, editing and distribution service, with tournament material prepared across the day for multiple platforms. The selection here includes coverage of the Girls’ Amateur and a Brabazon tournament film.

More than the action.

Sport has stories beyond the score. Player interviews, recognition films and the places where people play can give audiences a broader connection to the game.

The collection included internal presentations and animated training videos as well as tournament coverage. Each format had a different job, with the subject and audience shaping the presentation.

Clubs with a story of their own.

The club-profile series shifted the focus from an event to a place and its people. These films introduced individual golf clubs through a format that could be repeated across the wider collection.

The examples for Delamere, Huddersfield and Essendon are brought together here alongside the tournament and player films, showing the range of work within one case study.

A collection with several uses.

The selected films show event coverage, a player story and three club profiles. They bring together different types of production rather than asking one film to speak to every audience.

For clubs, sporting bodies and event organisers, this approach can shape a useful brief: timely content for the event, individual stories for the wider audience, and films that introduce the places behind the sport.
