Who runs this website

Yorkshire Coast Digital is run by Matthew Trumble, based in Filey, North Yorkshire. For questions about your information, email hello@yorkshirecoastdigital.co.uk.

Enquiries

The contact form collects your name, email address, project type if selected, and the message you send. This information is emailed to Yorkshire Coast Digital so I can reply, discuss your project and provide requested services. Please only include information needed for your enquiry.

I use enquiry information to respond to your request and, where applicable, take steps towards an agreed project. Handling ordinary business correspondence also supports the legitimate interests of running the business. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list.

Hosting and email

Hostinger provides the website hosting and the email service used to receive enquiries. Hosting and security systems may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and request logs to operate and protect the website. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.

Cookies and Google Analytics

Essential cookies support site functions and remember your privacy choices. Optional Google Analytics cookies help me understand visits and how pages are used. Analytics is disabled until you opt in. You can reject analytics or change your choice through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the website.

Google Analytics processes information about your visit, device and interactions. Google may process data outside the UK. Read Google’s privacy policy for details of its processing.

reCAPTCHA and video embeds

The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam. When enabled, this external service can process technical and interaction information, including your IP address and browser information. You can control external services in Cookie settings. reCAPTCHA needs to be enabled to send the protected contact form; you can also email me directly.

Portfolio pages include YouTube videos. Enabling or playing embedded content allows the provider to receive information about your visit and use its own cookies. Your account settings with the provider may also affect its processing. External services can be managed separately from analytics in Cookie settings.

Keeping information

Enquiry and project correspondence is kept for responding to requests, providing services and maintaining relevant business records. The period depends on the enquiry or project and any applicable record-keeping requirements. Contact me to ask about information relating to your enquiry.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access or correct your information and, where applicable, request deletion, restrict processing, object to processing or request portability. You can withdraw optional cookie consent at any time through Cookie settings.

Contact me first if you have a concern. You can also contact the Information Commissioner’s Office about how personal information is handled.
