Moorview Care
20+ videos for Moorview Care, sharing the people, values and stories behind the organisation. Alongside the films, I maintained its website and designed aspects of its online presence.
20+ films. A connected online presence.
Moorview Care supports autistic people and people with a learning disability across the North of England. Its public stories introduce the organisation, its team and the people it supports. My contribution spans a collection of 20+ videos, together with maintenance and design work on its existing website.
Letting people tell the story.
The films bring together different perspectives from across Moorview Care. The family story looks back over twenty-five years, while the team thank-you film celebrates the colleagues behind its everyday work. Personal interviews make room for individual experiences, giving viewers a sense of the people as well as the organisation.
A different focus for each film.
The collection moves between an organisation’s history, a colleague’s career, awareness and participation. Sam Robinson’s film explores her journey in social care. The Autism Awareness Month film addresses misconceptions through voices from the Moorview community. Moorview Matters shows a co-production meeting in which the people supported contribute to business planning.
The common thread is a clear purpose for each story, with contributors’ own words at the centre. The five public examples on this page show the range of the wider video collection.
Supporting the existing website.
Alongside the video production, I maintained Moorview Care’s website and designed aspects of it. The site brings together information about support, people and families, team opportunities, news and ways to get in touch. My contribution supported that wider online presence alongside the film work.
Film and web, working together.
The result is a body of work across two connected formats: films that let people speak for themselves, and website support that helps Moorview present its work online. This case study brings a selection of the finished films together with the scope of my website contribution.
